Part-Time or Full-Time Associate Accountant to assist with administrative, bookkeeping, clerical, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll duties.  With much of IAA’s programs delivered overseas in China and India, the Associate Accountant must ideally be knowledgeable of American and Chinese tax laws as it pertains to IAA employee’s payroll.  He/She will be responsible for managing the day to day operations as well as creating periodic financial reports for IAA’s management and advisory board’s review.


  • Daily income/expense reports
  • Budgeting - track & estimate expenses and income
  • Handle bank deposits and ensure deposits of merchant credit card receipts
  • Manage and process payroll through Intuit Quickbooks
  • Sync student information data from the school’s Student Information System with Quickbooks
  • Organize and process check requests, employee reimbursements, and company purchase orders
  • Quickbooks - track student invoices/payments daily as well as data entry of expenses and bank 
  • deposits
  • Petty Cash - maintain and track petty cash
  • Communicate with IAA’s consultants, directors, and employees it’s various centers as needed
  • Upkeep accounting system with IAA offices in China  
  • Generate monthly bank reconciliations
  • Generate year-end tax documents such as W2s, 1099s, and 1098s
  • Maintain employee files and record vacation, sick, or personal leave days for all full-time staff


  • Bachelor’s degree or master degree candidate in related field
  • Related experience preferred - basic accounting practices and procedures
  • Ability to analyze and plan budget months in advance
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency of Excel and Quickbooks
  • Ability to solve problems independently and determine best course of action
  • Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment
